Why are Body Wash refills made from aluminium, rather than compostable materials?Updated 21 days ago

Compostable bottles sound great, but they’re not as green as you think. While they’re better than plastic, unlike our deodorant refills, they can’t be recycled and can contaminate recycling streams when they end up in the wrong bin. 

And in terms of carbon footprint, they only cut emissions by around 70–80% compared to plastic. Whereas recycled aluminium cuts emissions by up to 95% compared to plastic over its lifetime. That’s like leaving your laptop unplugged for a whole month.
